Yep, if you want to be fussy, you're touching the obstacle with
SOMETHING physical -- whether a beam of photons or a wire whisker.
From a practical, "hobby robotics" standpoint, whiskers are cheaper.

im after making my photvore make noise.
is this posible? if it is could some one explain to me how?
i have only just started this type of thing, infact this is my first
experiance with electronics at all. my photovore is is made from
chiu's tutorial, for that i thank him.
