I sure hope so, Richard, because I'm using that very principle on my
head circuit and it works perfectly :)

Now here's an interesting thought. My original challenge was a generic
sort of thing ... apply it to whichever type of robot you're interesting
in.

However, being a micro-core / walker sort of person at heart, by own
perspective on the problem was a non-solar one.

What Jim has done with this suggestion is make me wonder if you can
combine the two principles ... say a battery powered walker that uses a
solar engine purely for avoidance purposes. In effect, the state of the
solar engine would say either "everything is cool", or "get outta
here!".
