Which reminds me of a day way back when I was taking microprocessor
lab. My partner couldn't figure out what was broken -- the wires were
right, the right chips were in the right places, etc. He then started
touching the chips and hit one that burned the heck out of his
finger. Needless to say he had put THAT chip in 180 degrees around and it
was very, very fried.

I presume that those of you who are doing free-form construction have a
particular problem because sometimes you are looking at the top of the chip
and other times the bottom. It pays to learn to count backwards... (count
twice, solder once???)
