Haha! You should see the design for the on/off switch on this thing!!! :)

Seriously, I've nearly completed the power supply for the bot, and I'm
very pleased. I am gonig to be runnnig it off a BASIC Stamp, however,
that's for getting it running before the end of school.

I do have a board i plan to use on it in the future, in conjunction with
the stamp. I may totaly redesign it though.

I have to do some class stuff tomorrow, but I'm planning an update
Friday, WITH pictures, and hopefuly, new schematics for the power system
which incorporates battery chargers (that support NiMH or NiCD, both in
high and standard capacity versions of the batterys). It auto switches
battery contacts from the robot to the charger and switches the
batteries from a series connection to isolated connections. The chargers
charge the batteries in only 5 hours, and the chargers were only $12
each! The cheapest batteries were $20. That means a 6 volt system is
around $40, and a 12 volt system is around $70. This obviously isn't for
the smaller bots, but for Quadrapod or other larger wheeled or legged
bots, it'd probably be quite nice!

The only batteries avaliable were 600 mA/h ones. They'll work, but I
like the idea of longer run time. Now I need to find a place that sells
the 1500 mA/h NiMH batteries that plug into the charger! I'm afraid what
the old Radio Shack would charge! :)

Details can really help out, a few more questions.

Solar panel, type, size, voltage, amps?
Motor, voltage, etc.? (If known, but at least some details)
Is the FLED in the light?
Capacitor and ratings?
