you can buy lexan sheets from a locak hobby supply and paint the underside of
the sheet to look like the wing pattern ~ i do this with slot car bodies ~
heat the lexan ~ mold it around a body mold and then paint the inside

you need to lightly sand the surface to make the paint adhear with a very
fine grit sand paper ~ then you can mask off the areas to be clear and paint
the others

There are several ways to make the wings flap. The primary method is to have
a magnet/coil pair. The coil is so positioned in relation to the magnet so
that when the solar engine dumps current through it, it repels from or
attracts to the magnet.
