Subject: Re. Englissi
Hi all,
This is not intended as a put-down, just a suggestion.
If a list member sends in another language, have the courtesy to =
translate the message and respond.
If that's a problem check out: www.bablfish.altavista.com, or: =
http://www.babylon.com
or:
www.e-lingo.com
Meanwhile...it might be good to clean up our own usage of the native =
language here...speaking of here and there...THERE refers to location, =
not possesive. If you mean their house, it's not there house..
Also if you've had to ultra violate an LED, I don't even want to hear =
about it! If you want to buy a violet
LED (a color) as opposed to rape, that's another matter.
One more comment, and I'll bug off. If you are in your early teens, =
and...if your parents are able to blow off a grand or two, to get rid of =
you for a month or two, look into the "Summer-Stay programs. Most =
European
countries, and many Asian countries are signed up. It's a great way to =
expand your concepts. Go live with the family over there, and learn =
some of the language, customs, see the country, etc. (Not to mention the =
food!)
Well, to sum up...I know the English language is changing,(ever faster, =
since e-mail, and poor typists)
so if all else fails (including the spell checker...) grab the old book =
called a Dictionary!
I'm gone,
