No, balance and general orientation awareness is a function of the inner
ear. There is a hair lined cavity in the inner ear with a sort of a ball of
wax in there as well, the brain just interprets this information, same as it
interprets the other senses. It's differences in the makeup and shape of
the "Ball" that causes some people to get sea sick and others to have a poor
sense of balance.
feel free to use this as an idea for a "Balance sensor", I didn't invent it
:-) Evolution did.
Oh, BTW, I am back on the list after an absence of about a year, and living
on the other side of the world. I used to be in Oz but now I am in Andorra.
