i just thought of how to duplicate the ear thing. get a plastic container
and fill it with water then have a wire leading into the water then have a
second wire at the top of the tube. when the robot starts to tip over the
water flows to the wire completeing the circut. this may be a merrcury
swicht. you could hook it up like a touch sensor. you would need a
reverser so it doesn't try to turn away.
