For active seeking? It's not easy. Better to make a dumb sumo that won't
run off the edge, and use luck for location. There's a simple schematic on
the www.robotgames.com website for "TOBOR" that uses some simple logic to
do this.

There are not any beacons on the opposing robots.

2 vowels. Pronounciation? _SMITH_".

say, I'm actually paying attention in there now,
instead of drawing schematics (most of which don't
work anyway)

Calgary for the event? I probably could make the trip for under $100 if
the rust mobile holds up (Minnesota to Illinois and back on $25 gas, you
can't beat that very easily).

Not much. As low as $19.00 per night for lodging. That's REAL (Canadian)
dollars. Multiply by 2/3 to convert to $US. Have a look at

http://www.robotgames.com/resource-lodging.htm

and follow the links to see what's avaiable.

With this gas price scare, yeah! (from whereabout's in illinois though,
northern?) I'm not too sure about the price of staying, this will be my first
year.
