Yes, it would be effective, assuming it would be lightweight, and correctly
focussed. Increase in mass and aerodynamic drag is a consideration!

Without bending my brain too much, no, it won't work. Photons get absorbed
by the solarcell and turned into electricity.

Yup. Trick is to get a low voltage/low power arrangement set up. The 1381
package is small, neat & tidy, and simple to use.

for a sumo bot, the question is, what is a good schematic/design for a sumo
bot, i realize it needs to track the other bot, but how, is there a beacon on
the other bot? I'll read over the rules more but any response is welcome!
