Another thought came to mind when thinking about your difficulties. What way
are you doing the circuit? I'm a huge fan of the glued heap of sockets! I
glue the chip's socket right on to another socket, so that i can use the
second socket for resistors and/or caps. If you haven't already, you might
check your wiring, there very well could be a short somewhere in there. other
than that, this isn't a problem that could be atributed to tolerance values
(damn 5%'ers) which can cause major problems as well!

Shucks! figures, i can't even remember the last time i saw that show, all i
remember is the lamprey bot and some walkers. the lamprey was what i remember
the most!

thank me if you follow it. Wire up a basic bicore, then wire up your basic
two bicore master/slave bicore walker. Then try that and see if it works. I
know it seems like a waste of time. But you'll learn alot about how the
whole thing works, and you'll get a good feeling about it. I dont' know what
you've built before, but wire some things up on the breadboard and work your
way up to it.

Do you know of a website that shows you step by step how to make a
microcore or a bi-core photovore?

researching my name better!). SO, if you have a link to my site, change it,
cause beamtastic will no longer exist! http://www.botic.com/users/beamstop
C'ya!

-find a bicore head schematic
-find a bicore walker schematic
-combine the two making the head the master and the walker a slave via
resistors
-tada!

I'm gonna post a schematic that i came up with for one later, on my web page!
