Subject: [alt-beam] Beamant motor drivers

I've been sitten round with my nicely constructed fairly asthetically
pleasingly beamant in the works. I've got those cool RM-1 motors hooked up to
'em and a ALS245 motor driver doin the leg work for the unicore. However, big
however, it does not spin the motors, i'll unplug the buffer chip and add in
leds in place and it works fine, but as soon as i stick that chip in and have
it run to the motors, it just plain doesn't work! any thing that might be
concievably wrong?

rigged up a 3 AAA battery 'gulp' power supply to it and man alive! this
sucker bolts! it's demanding presents is anounced by a loud noise caused by
it whiping back and forth. So my opinion is that if you have made all sorts
of robots and haven't made a unicore circuit yet, do it! it has the coolest
behavour of all phototrophs. i think i'm gonna name it Silverfish, cause it
looks remotely like a silverfish (the insect). C'ya
