I've been working on that design for some time now as well. The differen=
ce
is, my design is connected by machine pin sockets that are soldered into =
the
board. This allows three dimensional construction of nv's and nu's. The=
re is
a switch to interchange between nv and nu. There are sockets of
interchangable resistors. There is also a socket of an led if someone wi=
shes
to debug there nv/nu net. The only problem that has prevented me from go=
ing
on with ordering is that i can't find a way to connect the boards such th=
at
they would become a suspended bicore or suspended anything. How did u so=
lve
this problem with your dip chip format. Did u solve it? Oh and you can
purchase the single smt schmitt trigger chips from digikey for $.30-$.60
depending on the quantity that u order. They are listed just after the
panasonic ic's under "tinylogic"

12372 Thu, 23 Mar 2000 18:00:01 +1200 [alt-beam] Why isn't the HC4066 used for h-bridges? beam@corp.sgi.com Justin Dumb question for the day:
Why build h-bridges out of a heap of transisters and stuff instead of
using a single HC4066 or 4016? (Quad bi-laterial switche)
I haven't used a 4066 (or 4016), so I'm wondering if the current ratings
are enough to drive a motor. If the switches don't provide enough
current, surely stacking some chips would still be a lot easier than
transistors? Is it the cost?
I also haven't used an h-bridge, so I could also be overlooking some
fundamental difference... What am I missing here? (I realise that the
chip on its own would be smokeable, but so are transisters on their
own).

resistor and capacitor both socketed. Switchem around, and you switch
the configuration between Nv & Nu.

alt-beam@eGroups.com. All my messages show up, but if only an archive,
that would explain it.
