don't try this w/out more help but if you added photophobic behind a certain
part (i dont know which), that has a resistance once the resistance is
overwheelmed no matter how much more power it gets it has the same output,
but once under the power must be increased again. my theory is the excess
power would push the power over the resistance

As for good motors in Alberta... I'm an Albertan myself, but I haven't been
able to find any good sources.. some hobby stores sell servos which you can
hack... Sometimes stores like Princess Auto have some nice motors/ dead
walkmen, etc, which you can hack..
If you find out about any other good sources for motors in Alberta, let me
know!
