Subject: [alt-beam] Re: H-Bridge Question (Newbie)
Thank you, Bruce and Sparky
You have been of great assistance.
It turns out that his last 74HC240 was blown, he smoked it when he was
making a head a while ago (12v 3 amp power supply). Of course he thought
I would be mad so he put it back in his stock draws (and said nothing
until tonight). It'll have to wait for the weekend now. But he did a
nice job of building H-Bridges on IC sockets, very simple to plug into
the breadboard or remove when you need a little room to test another
idea.
BTW-I would really be interested in knowing how young some of the people
on the list started in BEAM and/or electronics? I have no real idea how
far to let Kyle go, in fact can barely keep up with half of what he
talks about now. His ideas seem a little off the wall at times, but
always seem to make sense at the same time.
Also if anyone knows of another 8, 9, or 10 year old that is interested
in electronics that he could trade ideas with, there is a little too
much traffic for him to keep up on the list here, plus I don't know how
kindly people would take to his confused ramblings.
Regards,
Dave
