Subject: [alt-beam] Re: Futaba servo motors (using the feedback pots)

Thanks for the response Rob,

I ended up building a 2-motor (like chiu's), tore it apart and then
built another one. This one has two aluminum edge-beam (sp?) rails with
the motors screwed in between, which lets me move the motors in any
angle. I found my futaba's not having enough torque on the front (90
degree) setup, so had to make it more like the scoutwalker.

One interesting addition...:
I modified the circuit to include the feedback pots mounted in the
motor into the core. The legs will automatically center themselves in
2-3 cycles, while preserving the option to let it go around corners.

I don't have a place to put pics or schematics, but if someone is
interested or has some space, let me know...

Vincent
