No, it doesn't. At least not enough for our purposes. Something that might
work is gold or copper leafing. I used to work in a sign shop before
computers took over the industry and there was a technique that we used to do
lettering on the glass doors of lawyers and doctors offices. You paint the
letter on the glass with clear varnish, then while it is still wet, apply a
sheet of gold or copper leaf over top of it. As it dries, the varnish pulls
the gold leaf tight to the surface. After it dries, you simply take a large
brush and whisk all of the excess leaf away from the artwork. This technique
would work well with simple circuits, or even more complex ones if
silk-screened with a clear base. How about 24 karat gold on black plastic?
The plastic could even be vacuum molded into any body shape you could
imagine. Definitely something to think about.

See ya,

your inbox, there is an easy aid; I don't get any emails from the list -
when I feel like reading the list, I read it via the web at eGroups, and
when I don't feel like reading it, I simply do nothing :-)

Never have your mailbox swamped again. Simple.

If you want to opt out of helping (and being helped by*) beginners, then
try the Spinalcolumn beam list.

*Don't think that beginners are not of direct use. Hell, even someone
who can't solder a cap to a panel can happen upon a great bargain or new
source of parts and spread the word :-)

Note: If reading the beam list via egroups, still post your messages as
email - the eGroups post function only posts to eGroups, not the full
list.

Duh. I've done some leafing, but this didn't occur to me (I was using
silver, perhaps that had something to do with it...). Excellent idea!
Damn, it doesn't really suit any of my current plans, which is a pity
because it just screams to be done :-)

AHA! It may not suit any of my bot plans, but it does in fact solve
another problem I've been thinking about...

Excellent...
