humm.........

some of the responces have been ~ well lets say rather wild ~ this one I
would say is nicely wild ~ LoL ~ well written BTW

but for some reason ~ and I guess I should of been more explisid in what i
felt was useless banter

one good example was ~ who lives in my area???
another is a discussion on cars

get my point??

the questions concerning what cap and resistor size to use are not off topic
~ those in my pinion are what this list is supose to be about

or was i mistakn???

the people who [snipped] bits of my comments out and added their own on what
they thought was useless ` you need to direct you dislike to

ok?

I've built 4 motor walkers, does that make me any better than the guy who
is building photovores? no, so should I be deleting emails, or ignoring
them for the fact that they aren't at the level I am?

12055 Fri, 17 Mar 2000 18:48:58 -0700 [alt-beam] Charging NiMH batteries beam@sgiblab.sgi.com robertm@idcomm.com (Robert Morris) I decided to try to use some NiMH batteries on my latest walker
and I am having far too much trouble getting them to charge up.
Don't know if it's the batteries, the charger or just my luck :)
The first set I think I fried due to too much current in the charger I
was using, so I went and bought another set of 3 AAA batteries and
a universal charger kit designed for NiMH batteries at different voltages
and currents. On the side of the battery it says to charge at 50ma for
14 hours. I put together the charger and set it up to charge a 3.6v
battery at 50 ma, hooked up the batteries in series and connected
them to the charger. After 12 hours I checked them and I get 0v.
Checked the wiring, everything seems alright. Output of the charger
is about 11.5v without the battery attached, but with the battery
my meter reads about 25mv (This seems odd to me, but I'm not
to sure). Current with batteries attached is about 70ma.

Did I just get some bad batteries, or is there something else I
can check to see if my charger is working properly?

Any help is much appreciated.

Robert Morris

P.S. I can probably post the charger schematic if needed.
