Science cats are notorious for not playing well with others. Too picky,
opinionated, jealous, paraniod, and a host of other anti-social behaviors.
And that's just me!
I've said this before...We are friends here! There are a large number of
persons on this list who, in the eyes of the law, are children. We must be
patient and not discourage the future Einstiens, Sagans, or Hawkings! Keep
in mind that there was a time that we were inexperienced once, too. If
there is some banter on the list that you don't like, delete it! Better
yet, change the subject!
I took part in some banter on list recently and was enriched by it (Nine
Billion Names of God thread (12 members, BTW!)). Let's not let these
bindings slip purely in the name of subject matter. For the most part, the
list stays on track. If we stray from time to time, then so be it. It'll
come back around.
