Since this thread started with an e-mail addressed to me and my "Z" (not
Zoz), I feel the need to send my humble reply to those "beyond the basics",
wanting to start their own list or otherwise perturbed by the musings of
friendly BEAMers, pleas of newbies and questions posed by enthusiasts with
limited electronics knowledge...

We are on the brink of wonderful things...some of us are closer than others.
For those beyond the simple photopopper, who have adjusted and improved it
to its fullest potential...I congratulate you! To think, you have made the
smallest, most durable, most behaviorally comlex, most life-like, most
innovative, most unique simulated creature on the planet. Now that you've
mastered the basics, and understand all you possibly can about this simple
subject and have moved on to the design team at Sony on the construction of
a small child-like robot to play with Aibo ('cause he gets lonely when you
are away). Remember when you asked stupid questions and ask yourself if you
would be where you are if it weren't for the kindness of
strangers....strangers willing to help you out and answer some of your
questions...no matter how infantile.

IRRELEVANT? Just because you have a telescope, doesn't mean the rest of us
shall not deign to gaze upon the night sky in awe and wonder...If we happen
to ask you what you are looking at, you have the opportunity to inspire us
or ignore us...walking to another hill isn't going to change the view if
you're more interested in looking in the mirror and admiring how great you
look with your shiny telescope....be teachers...lead the way....inspire and
teach...OR...let us sit back and admire how cool you look with your
telescope while we build rockets.
