Subject: [alt-beam] Sonic Triangulation

This may be of interest to you audio types..

I'm sorry I can't disclose more information but there isn't much out
there yet..

A sonic positioned pen was demonstrated at the Futuristic Computing
Conference hosted by Intel in San Francisco, Wednesday, March 15, 2000.
The pen uses sound to triangulate the movements of the pen, allowing
handwriting to be converted to digital information.

Isn't that interesting??

I really don't know if there is a remote module decoding the
information, but I suspect so. That merely means in a BEAM app, there
may have to be a "transmitting beacon" or mothership that the critters
can "zone in" on.

Just food for thought..
