Subject: [alt-beam] Re: Rat Shack FLED
I got a red FLED from there not long ago. If you
overload them at all (voltage or current either one)
they STOP responding. I couldn't get the
characteristics to change in light either. Maybe it's
just me. Anyone else?

11925 Wed, 15 Mar 2000 17:48:09 EST [alt-beam] FRED bread boarded...problems beam@sgiblab.sgi.com "Corey Centen" Hi all, sorry to bother again,
I just bread-boarded FRED but it didn't work. The FLED would flash but the
motor would not turn. I only bread-boarded half the circuit, or one engine.
I don't know why this is. Where does the second wire of the FLED go? Any
help would be appreciated.
Also...
If I use a larger voltage than something like a 2 or 3 volt solar panel, do
I need a larger cap?
Thanks!

If it isn't too much trouble I would greatly appreciate a copy of the
circuit. What I've found so far seems to be getting me no where.
Thank you,
Dave
