Subject: [alt-beam] walker motor gear ratio
a friend of mine mentioned that he has some motors with a built in gear
reduction ratio of 300:1. (voltages 1.5 to 12v)
i was wondering if they would be useful for the BEAM walkers?
thanks for any insight.

How well do they work?

that is a bit pricy, but i suppose thats the price you pay for a good bot! Do
they have any other models that are cheaper? Size doesn't matter too much to
me, i just like to find some kind of servol or motor that is consistant and
"price efficient" (I can only go without eating for so long!) ThAnKs! I like
your .giff, lots smaller than any .mov or .ram!

me. But they are a major dissapointment. They're
geared with worm gears at a 90 degree angle, and they
pull over 200mA @ 1.5V (200 is the max that my meter
measures, and it's overload!)
