Subject: [alt-beam] Yet another SE question

Hiyall,

I'm having trouble using a 1F, 2.5v gold-cap with a PM1 SE. No matter how
long the charge it seems the SE won't let go of the charge. I've hooked the
SE up to a pagermotor but it never does anything.

I've checked the cap by putting it directly on the leads of the motor and it
happily drops its charge. I've checked the SE by replacing the 1F cap with a
4700uF, 6.5v cap which works perfectly: the motor fires every other second
or so in direct sunlight. I am using a 3733 Sunceram, which according to
previous threads should work with a 1F, 2.5v cap aswell since the 1381 would
trigger at the appropriate current.

Could it be that the cap never reaches the 2.7 volt trigger of the 1381?

Puh-leeeeeease help me, I can't seem to figure what's wrong and what to do.

Thanks in advance,

Thomas
