Well, HEAD motors shouldn't be really fast. The gear ratio should be between 
30 to 1 and 200 to 1.

I think that the 'bot is the same one, but the one in the first section had 
been modified and then filmed again as the second section.

Yes, but it might be easier and better to use the Almost complete walker 
schematic on his website, its on the bottom of that schematics page. I've 
used it for my walker and it is quite nice, even has a reverser circuit built 
in, thats a pretty easy freeform, if you careful, otherwise, just take a look 
at the bicore circuit and add a second on the same chip, you can have up to 
four.

Maybe, you need to look at the kindof current drawn by these motors. Some 
motors suck up well over 50 some mA, depends on the motors though. even so, 
its pretty simple to use a motor drive, it just hooks right into the spot for
