theres a saying "If it ain't broke don't fix it" it doesn't matter if the
robots think as long as it works. you'll just drive yourself crazy trying
to figure it out. a better question would be how do we think. we're just a
group of inorganic atoms forming cells grouped together. we think about our
self as 1 thing despite being thousands of cells.

Oh no, I'm sure they are SEs.

exposed to sunlight, am I right in that? How much
current/voltage? Does it depend on the manufacturer? I
can find silicon diodes just fine, but none specify
the current or voltage developed in sunlight.

recieved more energy the bot light would increase and the second bot might
know it recieved energy, but it would several problems.

1. the 2nd bot would have to look at the light constantly
2.making sure the light didn't blind the 2nd bot
3.the 2nd bot might not know what a brighter light means

but using sound would have problems too
1. they would have to develope a language that alone would take FOREVER and
they aren't smart enough. compare the bot to you, we're the only animal
with a language. after seeing how maby thousands of nurons (even as smart
as we are we can barely talk to each other) we have compare the bot to a
watch, and a bug
