Well I also seem to see ones with LEDs (not flashing either, those small one=
s=20
that dave sells) and caps, small .01=B5f or so.

i really want to start on a second walker and was thinking of using the
servos from solarbotics (the tower hobby ones). Are they decent to use for
the cost?

Electronics sells one with 64 pins in it for a few
bucks.

I have a picture of the type of socket I'm talking
about and the end result at the bottom of my "Bender"
page:

As a wise man once said..."Never say never".

This subject has been discussed on this list ad nauseum, but there's no
clear answer. I've built walkers that have no sensors at all, but when it
encountered an obsticle, it changed it's gait to get away from it. Those of
us who have problems stepping outside paradigms can't explain how it's
happening. Even though conventional science cannot explain exactly what is
happening, dosen't mean that it's not happening.

It would be a good exercise for one of the more skilled members of the list
to do an exhaustive study on what's actually going on. Yeah, that's the
ticket!
