details) that is polymer bladder, I think it is a polymer. Anyway It expands and
contracts with an electrical charge very quickly. I think this is the way to go.
If you would like details I will hunt for them, just let me know. Muscle wires
have a relatively slow response time and are actuated by temperature if I am not
correct.
As far as chemical reactions to different materials, have you ever seen the
clock that runs off a potato (potatoe) or other vegetable matter. Maybe your
bots can't carry around a spud but why not hunt for them just to recharge?
