Subject: [alt-beam] escaps on ebay (NO!!!)

Hello,
I got a pair of those motors from ebay that were called escaps. Every
escap I have ever seen doesnt have normal wire leads, and when i got these
"escaps" they have leads, and on the bottom they say made in germany, so I
would say they are FAKE. Just to warn, plus on the voltage we use they are
about 5 RPM

for servos.. with my escaps I'm able to hook it
directly up to a 24x33 solar panel and run the motor
under a 60 watt lightbulb... try doing that with a
servo. I"ve never tried running it with a microcore
though, since I pretty much work exclusively with the
74hc240 now. It'll run straight off one of those
though.
hope this helps,
darrell

different applications. Just because you have leads instead of wires
dosen't mean anything. In addition it's manufacture locations doesn't
discount it being made by escap. If they were sold as escaps, and unless
they specifically say they are something else, they are probably are
escaps. In addition, motor's don't come 'fake' as you might think of other
things being 'fake'. It's still a motor, just with different
specifications. Oh well, that's the chance you take with using e-bay. Much
luck with them though.
