There is little or no need. Sure you could do it, but you could also just
buy a 1381, in a wide variety of voltages.

PS: ALmost everything is just made with transistors and diodes anyway.


Is there an equivalent circut that can be made up from
transistors and can be used in place of the 1381?
maybe even one that can be altered to different voltages
using a trimpot?
