Subject: [alt-beam] walker

Hello,
My walkers back legs dont come off the ground. It is a simple 2 motor
walker in the format of Chews walker ver2.2. Are the back legs supposed to
come off the ground? He cant hardly climb over anything , he can get his
front legs up on a thin magazine (smithsonian one) but the back legs cant
make it.

Steve

What kind are they anyways?

How tall is it? Standard walker size? What is it's gait?
Perhaps modifying the chassis/and or modifying the legs might bring
improvement, OR
change the angle at which the motors are.

10929 Sat, 26 Feb 2000 20:34:13 -0600 [alt-beam] Re: Component Alternatives? alt-beam@egroups.com Ben A Micklin I have the same problem with the 23904 transistor. It is only available
(In My area) at RatShack, for 1.19 a peice! Oomph! I was hoping to order
in increments of 15, but I'm not just about to plop down 18$ just to get
some transistor!
In Canada they are available everywhere, (at least to what Dave Simmons
told me) at every street corner. For about .15 cents a peice.
Mail order is the only way to get them, aside from a mom and pop store,
which are hardly ever found.

I found some 2N3907 transistors on an AC delco car audio system- OH YEAH!
Unfortuntely I had already trashed my SUNEATER I project, so those
weren't needed

You may have too much weight near the back legs.
Try shifting some weight towards the front of the walker,
that seemed to work for me.
