I've seen pdiodes at the rat shack. I was just there yesterday. was gonna get
the last two but i already had some ordered. just takes a while to find it in
the store (sigh) face it they'll never live up to the standards of a BEAMer.
never.

if your in the U.S. I've looked at (gulp) radio shack and actually found for
the first time in decades (not really, but it seems that way) solar panels.
about the same size as some of the solarbotics panasonic ones. unfortunally
it would take about four of them 2 parralleled hooked in a series 2x2 to make
it even remotely worth while. in other words it would just be a pain in the
a--! However, look in MPJA and other surplus companies and you might get
lucky (unfortunately most people tell me i'll never get lucky) and find some.
I'll still be on the search, and will tell the list if any good deals come
up. nuthin against solarbotics, but it's expensive and long of a wait if you
need it airmailed. sorry, i'm just a cheap bastard. but definitly the best
solar panels will come from them> Keep on BEAMin!

10361 Thu, 17 Feb 2000 18:01:35 EST [alt-beam] BCT beam@corp.sgi.com Bumper314@aol.com I got those 74BCT240's with the 65mA output current...and it doesnt work. It
says its for high speed applications, but I dont know why it still woldnt
work. The LED eyes of my walker just stay on solid, very bright but solid.
They should be blinking with the gate. No output to the motors either...I
dont know whats up

my projects. So far my best bet is snipping the end off of a pin and usin the
big ball part as a caster, doesn't spin but it works. got use hot glue
though. damn those infernal strings of bloody glue!!!! C'ya

You did hook the power supply up the right way the first time didn't you?
As in, you put + to +, - to -? And the leads weren't swapped around at
the power supply?

Next time it happens, grab a multimeter and see if the voltage on your
photovore is the right way around. Tap the connections like you did
before, and measure the voltage to see if it swung the other way.

I usually use small rubber feet that you would find for things like stereo's,
maybe laptops and stuff..do you get what i'm saying?

motor driver, you'll find that you'll want to stack the chips to get more
output.

bout the motor driver, helps to look at the chip better! i'm talkin bout a
different circuit sorry!

cheaper than SB does.
