Careful, Elmo.

From what I've read on this list over the past year or so, there are at
least 3 diffferent methods of attaching pager motor weights, and at
least two different types of weight material.

What works perfectly on your particular pagers may be a disaster on
someone else's.

Hi newbies.... You are welcome here! Some of the answers you get here are
short and direct... donÕt take this as a slam... remember the Wright
Brothers got laugh at and ridiculed allot and look at what they did!!!
we are all busy people with our own lives so I see any answer I get as a
gift! Yes a gift... someone on their computer took the time to write out an
answer for me... and we all learn from these gifts even if it is for someone
ells :)
Every time I think about flaming some one I just remember it was a gift...
you donÕt slap the hand of the giver you donÕt use their Ògiftà...
I have had a lot of experience with this and my mother-in-laws ÒGiftsà....
but that's a long story...

There it just a scale effect... bigger cap = more weight= bigger motors to
move that weight... we are working with balance here... when you get it all
right itÕs size is really not a factor... although most of us seek a size
we can use on our desk tops... this means very small...

someone asked why we don't see solar wakers... wakers are rather power
hungry... so you either use a batter to get an active walker or you use time
laps photography just to see your creation in action...

Remember we are here to have fun and learn!!!!! isnÕt that what life is all
about???
Timothy...

robot you see that is walking in the sand. I dont think it has a front motor
for those legs. I looked that its underside on Solarbotics and it doesnt look
like it has one, anyone know?

I'm using MacOS 8.6, and IE 4.5.
I get a sort of buzzing in the audio, but the video comes through fine.

10040 Thu, 10 Feb 2000 20:59:01 EST [alt-beam] Found beam@sgiblab.sgi.com TurtleTek@aol.com Greetings,

I've recently found Bob Shannon's website that I was looking for and have
aquired the information I was looking for there.

Because of the lack of response to my old questions about the URL of Bob's
website, I assume that many people don't know where to find this site. So,
just in case someone else has been looking for it without success, here's the
URL:

http://www.the-nest.com/BShannon/

Now you can enjoy the photographs and detailed descriptions of Bob's uniquely
designed robots.

So, anyway, hope this helps.
