there are several types of MPG formats, and Quicktime only supports
certain ones. I've been annoyed by it too. See if you have Sparkle
installed. If that won't play it, there may be a sort of track stripping
utility that separates audio and video. sometimes quicktime will open
the video when you strip audio from it.

I encoded my Algo's FACTory videos using the Sorensen codec to save as a
Quicktime .mov file. If anyone has trouble, let me know. I had some
bandwidth problems while recording. I've solved all but one, but some of
my early videos (those) suffer from corruption. I cut all the corrupted
parts I could notice, but let me know if you have problems anyway.

I use the plastic ones on my SunScout. Wish I invested in the metal ones
that the "pro" slot racers use. The plastic fatigues too easily.
