How do you get the weights off the pager motors?? I tried using a paper clip
and a hammer to force the shaft out, but I could only get the shaft about
half way, I then tried to smash it off with a hammer. I remember another
list member saying something about that. All I got from that was smashed
cement, and a shaft broken off at the weight! One down, 16 to go.... I tried
on another motor, finally I was fed up, so gripped the motor with one pair
of pliers and the weight with the other one. Bad idea... I pulled out the
shaft from the motor!!! Arg! 2 down 16 to go. I was able to push the shaft
back into the motor, and I works somewhat. What is the right (best) way to
do this?? Thanks.

putting the
weight in a vice and cover the weight with a cloth or something and start
cranking the vice closed and the weight should shatter before it damages the
shaft
