oooh. One of the other secrets in BEAM. Well, not really. They are Omron
gearmotors, model numbers R2DG-38. They are nice motors. Hard to find
though, I get mine from scavanging and buying from different people I run
into. There's a latter version of the Omron motor in the All electronics
catalog, but it's worm gear. Mine aren't worm gears. The motors I have no
one sells, as far as I am aware. Your best bet is the nihon motors or
modified servos.

That walker looks really interesting -- square like Spyder but with four
motors like Walkman. I wonder if it will be difficult to provide
synchronization for the motors to provide an effective walking gait because
I don't think Dennison is using a hexcore or microcore. Also, with the
ordinary two motor walkers, one pair of legs is used for thrust and the
other for lift so how were Walkman's legs angled/positioned?

Hi- This has been bothering me for a while now, what is the difference betw=
een the bicore and the microcore? The microcore uses a 74HCI14 I.C and the =
Bicore uses a 74HCT240 I.C right?

I learnt about the Microcore yesterday, on Andrew Miller's site. He explain=
s that, if you put LEDs on the ouput of each Neuron, you should get a "Satu=
rated" state. Then if you add a switch, and hold it down for around two sec=
onds you should get a two process state, for another 3 seconds, should get =
a stable one process state. Then he talks about cycling through the microco=
re's useful states with a PIN switch and a PNC switch connected together. N=
ow this is where i'm confused, where do you connect the PIN , PNC switches,=
do you connect them to every Neuron, where do you connect the motor driver=
s and motors?
How many neurons can fit on a single 74HCI4 chip?

Help would be greatly appreciated.
