I remember seeing in the Pitronics website a robot that was was being const=
ructed called the spider or something. anyways, it was based around a micro=
controller, and had ultrasonic transducers rigged up as a 'voice'. then the=
robot could communicate with the other robots with ultrasonic squeals, giv=
ing location, light levels, etc.
veeeery interesting....

shaft ~ this cracked the molded pot metal very well and didnt seam to bend
the shaft at all ~ then I carefully put my cutters behind the now loosened
weight and closed down on the cutters ~ this pushed the weight forward and I
then just pulled it off with my hand

Well, you're right, but it isn't really what Thomas wanted...

Thomas, you are right as well. The negative end of the cap goes to the
FLED, and the positive end goes to the PNP transistor. It probably wouldn't
make a difference with the sort of voltages we are using, but it can't hurt
to do things properly.
I have updated this as shown in the attachment.
Also, you can use lower values of cap if you like. I used 0.22 uF instead
of 4.7 uF on my Seaplane.

I always just say "I hate cats!" ... cats=bad.....cathode =negative
forever locked into memory :)

and thanks for the replies.

Yes, I was a little confused being a novice in electronics. Am I right in
saying that turning it right will heighten the overall performance?

Great :)

Uh, I think I'll have a go at the .22 caps or the likes then since they're a
lot smaller.
Thank and Cheers,
Thomas
