Subject: [alt-beam] Nv block thingies
It's very easy to implement both. Why don't you make them with pads on the sides to join them with solder bridges, but also drill holes in each pad, and sell them with the DIP pins separate! Now if they want the pins, they can just solder them on. There's no clipping the PCB involved and it's very simple. If people don't want to have to solder the pins on (maybe they don't like soldering or don't have an iron and that WHY they want to breadboard it) then you could sell them with or without the pins, but it's still the same PCB.
If they're going to cost $4.50 or whatever you said (I forget) why don't you sell them as a kit, so we can assemble them ourselves. That would be cheaper wouldn't it? I would be very interested in these, but they're really only good if you have a bunch of them, and I would by very many if they were any more than $3.00 each.
In addition to the Nvs, after they are being sold, perhaps you could also sell H-Bridges on the same shape PCB. That would make experimenting a lot easier too. Let's not get into that now though, I think there's enough conversation about the Nv blocks as it is :-)
