If we are talking about moving the most mass with the least energy, or moving

a fixed mass over a distance in minimum time, 'more efficient' works for me.

As most BEAM 'vores keep starting and stopping, a small change in the startup

of the motor (a lower speed, higher torque motor, or gear reduction) can make

a big difference in overall performance, often in hard to predict ways like
when adding gear reduction. This adds friction, yet often increases
overall efficiency.
