Hi Aussie BEAMers

I noted Ben's comment about lack of 1381s in Australia. Well check out our
Solarbotics page on our web site at www.robotoz.com.au and you will see that
we have stock ready and waiting for your needs, right here in Australia as
well as many of Dave's stock items.

Cheers

Peter

of those and Honda's P3 would be the 'perfect' walker in my opinion.
Yes, please do post the URL.

Ok, I'll try to do better...
Any time you have a system which moves any significant mass, such as a
robot, you need to cushion the stop and go jarring caused from impact with
the ground... It is one of the reasons we use wire for our walker legs (
servo gears last longer)... the legs should be heavy enough to support the
weight but light enough to have a little give ... now any waker that weighs
more than say 10Lbs you should also be concerned with the floor under which
the waker is stepping... So you build your waker with some softer giver
springs... Now you have introduced a problem with unwanted oscillations...
the simplest way to dampen out these oscillations is with shock absorbers...
This would work whether the system is static or dynamicly balanced... So
I say that you cannot derive which system is used simply by looking at the
shocks... or am I wrong???
Timothy...

if it could be connected to one motor making it a 1 dof head?
