Subject: [alt-beam] D1 Chirppers

I read that you guys are thinking of making a
chirpping pummer? I've done it already. It's pretty
cool. It uses a D1 SE(but now I think I'll be using
Wilfs circuit) connected to a oscillator that chirps
it 2-3 second intervals. It sounds just like a
cricket. It's much more pleasing to the ear than a
constent buzz of a piezo buzzer. It's not very hard
to make you guys should try it.

would a 4001 diode work? Also you hook LEDs and stuff
on the circuit from the out put of the inverter to
ground right?

Just a thought... It seems to me (all this talk has made my mind dwell on
legs) that we use TWO types of sensors when we walk... one... a simple
switch (tactile sense of touch) and two... our feedback of presser ... So
wouldn't our bots also need two??? Well, need is not the right term... maybe
"better if"???
Timothy...
