I will probably call and see about ordering that lense assembly from
Herbach tomorrow. So I guess I'll be the brave sole to try it first.
Thats if I dont talk myself out of it. I've got a couple ckts bread
boarded but am in need of motors. I've salvaged about 10 motors out of
vcrs, etc. Two old video recorders have given me the best results. Two of
the motors are great torque but very low RPMs. One motor resembles a BG
Micro motor; however, it just says Micro on it. It seems like it will work
great on my projects. It was taken from a Quasar video camera (auto-focus
motor). The other two slower motors are from the zoom features of the
cameras. I am also investigating several contacts(repair technicians)
about the availability of these type motors. I'll keep everyone posted.
I've built the photopopper from Solarbotics; however, walkers seem to
interest me more. So thats where i will focus my attention. Later everyone.
Bob
