Subject: [alt-beam] Window Probes
Well since I've been asked the details of my window
probes, I'll share more about them. I got the idea
for them when my RJP was filling up. So I started
think of other places to put my bots. Then I got the
idea for a window clinger bot. All these bots are a
vending machine bubble, paper clips, suction cups, and
a Solar engine. The paper clips for the legs for the
bot and are connected to the bubble. At the tips of
each leg there's a suction cup. I drill a hole
through the top stick the motor in. Attach an
attenna, stick the solar engine in the bubble and
close it up. Stick the solar cell on the lid and BOOM
it's done. I've made 3 working ones so far and I have
the frames for like 5 more ready as soon as I get
parts for the SE. If you have any questions about my
bots just mail me off or on list. My address off list
is Tacoman101@yahoo.com
As soon as I get a hold of a camera I'll post the pics
of these bots.

Hey! You might be interested in a toy I saw at a "Zany Brainy" Store before
Christmas. It was a 4 in. tall mech-warrior-esque walking robot. It's feet
had suction cups and according to the package, it could walk up and down
smooth, vertical surfaces and even upside down. The feet can suction and
unsuction when the time is right. The name of the toy escapes me, but if
anyone is interested, and don't have a Zany Brainy near you, I would be happy
to send you one. I didn't buy one, but it definetly looks promising. If
nothing else, we could replace the AA's with a solarengine or something. I
think it was around $10.
