Well, I don't have a Jameco catalog, so if you'd like to tell me the
specs for the motor from the catalog I could tell you.
What I'd be interested in:
- The voltage (3 volts obviously :)
- The current draw (Something that involves 'ma' or 'Amps')
- Size (Inches)

Voltage is pretty important, as you can't get much movement out of a 30
volt motor with a 5 volt walker circuit! Anything below 5 volts is fine.
Current draw is more important. If your walker is using batteries, then
your motors can draw as much as your batteries can give (Basically,
almost infinite). However, your batteries will drain quickly. Therefore,
a good motor will draw 50-100 ma, and a really good one will draw only 5
ma. Good luck!

Hello to all on the list. My name is Max. I'm 16
years old. I'm new to the list but not new to BEAM.
I just found out about the list a few days ago while
surfing. I heard the list is a good place to get
answers so that's y I joined. Just real quickly I'll
give you guys a ROBOT ROLECALL of all the bots I have
that are ALIVE:

Cricket-D1 osillator
Rod-Your run of the mill 1381 photovore with sensors
Mach 5- Solarspeeder
Blinky-Twinkling Pummer
Owl-Pummer
Bob- Symet
Fern-Little solarengine with a leaf attached
Squid-Aquavore
Probe1-\
Probe2---Window Probes
Probe3-/

That's all I have right now I hope to get a walker in
sometime soon.

Well that's all I got to say so, PEACE OUT!!

Hi everyone.
=

I've had absolutely no success in finding a 1381 voltage detector local=
ly, so I was going to put together a ciruit using a FLED instead. But I ca=
n't find any actual photovore cicuits that use a FLED. Does anyone have a =
pre-made schematic, or at least a hint on how to do this?
=

I've never been completely clear on *exactly* how the 1381 works in the=
circuit, so I'm clueless on how to improvise.
=

=

Thanks,
Phillip
