Subject: [alt-beam] Stay on target (Was...Lets Hypothesise)
Lets get back to the question at hand....
Q: How can you measure distance between two robots in different mediums?
(i.e. in a vacuum, in water, in air)
A:
Is there a method that will work for all three?
What are the options available?
Are some options too power hungry or to fast to be used in BEAM type
applications?
Options i can think of are....
Ultra sonic, IR radar, Laser range finding, Microwave radar, Long
wavelength radar.
Discuss, theorize, hypothesise on the above methods (or others) and
their potential application to BEAM robots.
NOTE: The question is not should distance measurement be done.....but
_how_ can it be done!
