I think the point here has been missed totally.

No one is faulting Dave for crediting Miller.

Dave's post opened the door to the subject of the license, and of restrictions
on its use. Unfortunately there are some valid legal issues with the statements
Dave posted.

It seems that the list got this backwards to me.

Personally, I have 2 patents, and 99% of everything I've ever seem written on
the subject on this list is in direct conflict with what I've heard from
professional
patent attorneys.

But I guess that when this sort of misinformation, and fundemental
misunderstanding
of intellectual property law is posted on the list, people who see a problem
should
keep their mouths shut rather than point out the problem.
