Ahh! What your saying isn't totally ridiculous, and certianly makes sense.
It may sound a little nit picky, but I do understand where your comming
from. It's a curious thing to note however, that the BEAMERs on this list
have already come up with a fair amount of stuff. The whole blimp idea isn't
exactly new. I seem to remeber a thread about that some years back. Many
idea's come back around, for example the idea about using a SE to compress
air? We talked about that at great length a long time ago. We mentinoned the
inneffeciencies, and how you could try it anyway perhaps using a leg
pnuematics set and stuff. So not to burst anyones bubble, :-) but most
idea's around here aren't always original. Things on the list tend to go in
cycles, as new people come onboard and old people leave.

PS What's the current count of BEAMers? If anyone knows.

I just thought I'd be a pratt and mention that I've had one of these
underway for a while. I say this not because I want to take any wind out
of your sails (I wouldn't be working on one if it didn't seem like a
great idea :-), but at my current rate of progress, anything anyone else
attempts will be finished long before mine, and when mine is finished,
I'd like it to sound credible if I claim that I independantly arrived at
the same idea as you, rather than just grabbed it and acted on it :-)
(Not that there is anything wrong with copying - you just get extra
brownie points for coming up with something yourself :-)

Hmmm, there should be a word in the BEAM lexicon for the above message,
so instead of writing all that, I can just say "I'd like to register an
'independant arrival' on that concept", or something...
Or does no-one think like me and you all think I'm strange for posting
this message?
