Subject: [alt-beam] 1381L

I'm building a beambot using a micro cassette motor(3v). I'm using a 1381 J
as a trigger and 2 3300uf caps in series. I have two 373334 solar cells
hooked up in series. The problem is the motor will turn but it looks like the
second hand on a watch. Moving in slow precise movements, like it is ticking
off seconds. Will changing to a 1381L make this bot work properly?

Why do you have two cells hooked in series to trigger the 1381-J? It fires at
around 2.7 volts or so. You are putting in 8 or 9V. Use one cell or go to a
higher trigger.

I just posted two more bots with more to come. I'm trying to rework my site
(please excuse any unfinished bits) and do a couple of other things before
T-shirts drag me away again. Here's the links for the new bots:

Now, back to the shop.

cloud masked the sun. Some logic, huh? So I should run the caps in parallel
and change to a 1381L?
