It took me a while to find it for my news section. The walker he is talking
about is called the Quadrapod Walker Kit and it is found at:

I have a larger image of it at my website. http://richfiles.calc.org

Although I have a picture of the Lynxmotion Quadrapod (Mondotronics gets them from lynxmotion), I will most likely
be building it from scratch. I might even be using a clear material! might as well show off it's guts!

8133 Sun, 5 Dec 1999 18:33:23 -0800 (PST) [alt-beam] I'm back. beam@sgiblab.sgi.com Darrell Johnson Hey all,
I'm back after my long absence from the list. I
recently moved and just now got back on the net from
home.

sorry for the unannounced removal of my Bicoreeos site
from the web.. I had no idea that it was going to go
down while I was in between addresses... (even though
I kept the same ISP)

The good news is that my site is back online.. The
address is different though, but this site will be
permanent independant of which ISP I use.. it's at:

http://www.geocities.com/beamtastic/

sorry for the lame Geocities floating thingys, what
can I say.. it's free.

The only thing that I've changed on the site is the
layout of the Power Smart Head... I tied the unused
inputs to ground, which should make the circuit a
little more proper. (although my bot doesn't have them
tied to ground and it works beautifully)

well, that's about that.. good to be back on the list.

-darrell

Hey, nice to have you back Darrell and I like what you've done to the site.
I'm also recently back from a long absence from BEAM in general. I can't
wait to get the parts to build my next bot. Well, I'll see you later.

8135 Mon, 6 Dec 1999 06:57:24 -0800 [alt-beam] Gearmotors... "Jason Jones" Has anyone used Hankscraft motors before? They have a model "ED" motor that
looks like it would work pretty nicely for some walkers etc...
http://www.hankscraft-motors.com/ed-motor.html in quantities of 10-19 they
are $15.75ea and new. Also has anyone used the gearhead/motor combo
0816-08/1 from Micro Mo? It has an 8mm dia !! and I hear they are about
$20/ea or so..

Thanks
Jason Jones
