Subject: [alt-beam] 8 motor walker

For anyone wanting to build an 8 motor walker, Modotronics (www.robotstore.com) now has a new kit. It uses servos but it looks like they're almost in the same formation as on Mark T's spider.

solarize walker

Purpose:

1. Not to use batteries
2. Conserve weight

Materials:

1. bicore
2. tiny very highly efficient lego gearmotors (tilden class)
3. 2 3337 5.5V 15 mA sunceram II cells

Question:

Is there another method to go about solarizing my walker with the given
conditions without using the PM1 solar engine? (because it uses a 1381!!!...
no point ordering just 1 or 2 1381s...

thanks
